Modifying Smartphone Cameras for NIR: Enabling Night Vision and Multispectral Capabilities 

Project Summary: This work demonstrates the potential of modern smartphones as platforms for developing sophisticated mobile applications for color near-infrared (CIR) image analysis. By adapting smartphones or consumer-grade cameras to capture visible and near-infrared light (CIR imagery), even without expensive equipment depending on the project's objectives, previously unseen information can be revealed, leading to exciting possibilities for mobile multispectral applications.
